What does the approval process for regulated agents look like
To obtain regulated agent status, an entity submits the following to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA, in polish ULC):
- an application for approval,
- a security programme,
- a Declaration of Commitments – Regulated Agent,
- statements required under Article 186c, paragraph 1, points 2 and 3 of the Aviation Law.
The final stage involves an on-site verification by CAA inspectors to assess compliance with EU regulations and the procedures outlined in the security programme.
Once approved, the details of each regulated agent are entered by the President of the CAA into the ‘Union database on supply chain security.
