General training

Who is the training for?

According to § 15 point 1 items 1 and 3–5 of the KPS and point 6.6.1.3 of Annex to Regulation 2015/1998, the general awareness training applies to:

persons applying for employment or employed in the airport’s landside
persons applying for and having unescorted access to in-flight supplies, including those involved in their transport
persons applying for and having unescorted access to airport supplies, including those involved in their transport
security screeners who do not require access to security restricted areas of the airport
personnel with supervised or escorted access performing collection, carriage, limited storage and delivery of air cargo or air mail to which security controls have been applied
personnel with no access to air cargo or air mail to which security controls have been applied, involved in the transport or limited storage thereof.

Knowledge of previous acts of unlawful interference with civil aviation, terrorist acts and current threats
Understanding legal requirements and elements contributing to a strong and resilient security culture in the workplace and aviation sector, including knowledge of internal threats and radicalization
Knowledge of the objectives and organization of civil aviation security, including the duties and responsibilities of personnel implementing security measures
Familiarity with reporting procedures
Ability to respond appropriately to security-related incidents
Knowledge of airport or aviation entity identification cards, as well as rights and obligations of the cardholder under the relevant pass instruction

Practical information:

The training is conducted in the form of lectures. Avsec.pl is one of the few providers offering this training in e-learning format for periodic training. The training concludes with a theoretical test. Upon successful completion, participants receive a certificate of completion.
