Basic training

Who is the training for?

According to §15(3) of the KPS, the basic training applies to individuals seeking to obtain qualifications as:

security screening operator of persons, cabin baggage, items carried, and hold baggage,
personnel performing vehicle examinations of vehicles entering security restricted areas of airports,
personnel responsible for access control, surveillance, and patrolling,
personnel directly supervising persons implementing security controls (supervisors),
security manager,
instructor.

Knowledge of previous acts of unlawful interference with civil aviation, terrorist acts and current threats.
Knowledge of the legal framework in civil aviation security.
Knowledge of the objectives and organization of aviation security, including the duties and responsibilities of those applying security control measures.
Knowledge of access control procedures.
Knowledge of identification card systems in use;
Knowledge of procedures for detaining individuals and circumstances requiring detention or reporting.
Knowledge of reporting procedures.
Ability to recognize prohibited items.
Ability to respond appropriately to security-related incidents.
Knowledge of the impact of human behavior and reactions on the level of security.
Ability to communicate clearly and confidently.
Knowledge of elements contributing to establishing a strong and resilient security culture in the workplace and aviation environment, including awareness of insider threats and radicalization.

Practical information:

The training is conducted in the form of lectures.
The training concludes with a theoretical test. Upon successful completion, participants receive a certificate of completion.
